It allows the admin to add 3rd party video streaming services like YouTube, MySpace, iFilm, Google videos etc through the admin interface easily. With the specialized module that comes with the package, you can choose to display multiple types of videos streamed by your users. The module allows you to sort the streams by date, ratings, views, comments, or random. You can also choose to spotlight a single user, or a particular video category (note: ratings, views, comments and categories are features available after you have upgraded to AJAX Sandbox Pro).

You can choose to display the module vertically or horizontally, with as many streams as you like using the AJAX pagination feature. This saves your website a considerable amount of bandwidth. Multiple instances of the module can also be created by using the Copy feature in Joomla's Module Management.

Every aspect of the software's interface is build on AJAX technology. This means you're able to display large amounts of information to your users with very little bandwidth usage, and the "coolness" factor of AJAX is certainly a huge plus. By utilizing just the tags of the streams, it also prevents users from streaming malicious content that may harm your website and other users.

Language and Styling

AJAX Sandbox utilizes a language file for ease of customization, and every single displayed text can be modified through this language file. The language file can be located in the directory components/com_comprofiler/plug_ajaxsandbox2/language.

Every HTML element used by the software has its own CSS class for easy styling. The CSS file is in components/com_comprofiler/plug_ajaxsandbox2/css.



Note: AJAX Sandbox Pro is an addon (and not replacement) that extends the basic Sandbox functionality, and requires the Sandbox plugin to be installed first. Before installing AJAX Sandbox Pro, uninstall the Joomla component that comes with the basic Sandbox software package first.
