Aside from the IE killer bug, I was thrilled to find I had followed every available step and configuration, but nothing will stop this "Error" pop up message when I try to browse for photos to upload.

I see the button, it just doesn't work. Everything else is loaded. Ioncube, the mootools fix, the license key, etc... But it still doesn't work. What are my options Mike? I need this to work for a client desperately! Help!

axzm,

I wish you luck in obtaining this answer as there are quite a few of us waiting on the solution.  Many have suggested "down-grading" to flash player 9 but I feel this is a bad solution as this will work for YOU but imagine having to tell every user who visits your site that they too will have to down-grade to flash 9 just to post pics.  Doesn't make much sense to me.  If you happen to receive the solution, please post it online so others like myself can resolve their issues.

I am reading through the threads seeing I am not the only one stuck out. Greeeeeat.

So Mike charges $75 for a component that doesn't work? Wow.

If it was $10-$15 no sweat, but $75 for a component that basically doesn't work!? That is so uncool.

Here is the fix for the original uploader. Try it yourself, I am already on it (but sadly not skilled enough).

I think, I paid 50$, not 75$. But I agree with you in the point, that its very uncool to pay for a software, wait 2 weeks for it and then getting told that it doesn't work.

Yea.. I tried to upload the new updated files but that ended up being a complete waste of time. I hope this gets fixed soon.... I want my gallery up!  Undecided

Open source COMMERCIAL extensions, I mean dude. I understand $10-$20 range even but jesus. $75!!! What a freekin' rip off. I have a mind to report this guy on rip off report, go through all the review sites and blogs and do some serious damage on his company profile. In fact, anyone want to help me if he doesn't respond?  Grin You don't want 10 developers making it their personal agenda to trash your projects! j/k

Let's not get hasty either, but good lord Mike. C'mon dude. I can't believe how long he has gone between answering some of these questions. 10 days at a time sometimes for people that spent hundreds of dollars with him. That is just bad business. Even if it's only 20-30 people, that's still a good little chunk of change. More than enough to provide adequate documentation and support.

I have made my suggestions, and for now I will continue to give Mike the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully he sees all this negative feedback and works out a strategy to fix the major issues everyone is having right now.

Otherwise I feel ripped off. How about you?

axzm,

Yeah, I'm beginning to feel ripped off.  I know Mike is busy trying to release other project but in doing so, I don't think he should neglect current projects and most importantly, current customers.  I mean think about it.  I'm sure there are a bunch of people interested in Mike's products but when they go on the forums and see nothing but negative feedback, I'm sure those same people will think twice about purchasing these applications.  I definitely gave his products the benefit of the doubt until I started getting multiple errors and worse yet, no support.  I don't want to bash the guy for all his hard work but come on!  Mike has a responsibility to rectify any problems that his software has created especially for those who have paid for it, like myself...or at least respond back to some of these post to let everyone know he is working on the solution.  Anyone agree?

I agree. As you can see on my profile, I am a LOYAL customer to mike. Mike has always been good on keeping up on customer service. But this has been taking unusually longer for him to reply. I hope nothing has happened to him.  Undecided

More than likely he will come through with a fix. I am guessing if he hasn't responded he either:

A. Doesn't have the fix yet and is working on it.
B. Is busy and can't get to even see what the problem is in the first place.
C. Has the fix but doesn't want to give it to us because we have bugged him so much.
D. Is laying in a big pile of our money laughing on some tropical island in the Philippines.

Multiple choice... which one do you think it is?

Ah guys i'm really sorry about the delay in coming out with this fix. Truth is for a long time I didn't even know how was this caused because I can't replicate it. Anyway I just found out Flash 10 broke the upload script, but that has now been fixed! Please download version 1.0.10. It also fixed the "Make Profile Picture" bug.

Hurrah,

Mike, I knew you would come through.  I am going to download the new version and test it.  Thanks for not hiding out in the Philippines with our money.  Wink  now how about those instructions to create a gallery like yours!  Could that possibly be a sticky since so many people are having problems replicating your gallery?

After installing the latest version of Sim Gallery, I'd like to report back and say...NO MORE ERRORS!  Okay this problem has been resolved so any word on getting instructions on how to set up the gallery the Mike's.  For some reason, the Gallery page is the only page I can't display modules on unless I publish the module to the entire site.  Thoughts?
